Key Responsibilities

  • PHP development, familiarity with frameworks such as Symphony
  • XML & JSON definition and implementation
  • Java development, preferably working with Spring framework
  • Experience working with REST/SOAP based APIs

Working Experience

  • Hands-on experience of over 3 years
  • Experience hand-coding XHTML and CSS
  • Experience in working with JavaScript & JSP
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
  • “AJAX”; experience with jQuery or other JavaScript frameworks desirable.
  • Knowledge of current W3C standards and browser compatibility issues (especially XHTML and CSS)
  • Comfortable with both Linux & Windows environments
  • Familiarity with CVS/SVN or other version control system
  • Well developed written and verbal English communication skills

Search Engine Marketing Executive

Responsibilities:

Pay Per Click (PPC) Advertising

  • To direct and execute all aspects of our paid marketing efforts including strategic planning, implementation, monitoring, optimization, analysis and reporting
  • To develop and implement search marketing techniques and manage all SEM campaigns
  • Manage tracking and reporting of campaigns and provide management reports and insights. This includes reporting of campaigns with in depth analyses on performance of keywords, ad copies, bounce rates, conversion rates, etc
  • Proactively monitor, analyze, and optimize search campaign performance, including analysis of site traffic
  • Conduct keyword analysis/research and writing effective ad copies
  • Monitor competitive landscape and industry trends / constantly review the marketplace for new search opportunities
  • Manage budget; measure, analyze and report ROI for media spend against established metrics
  • Gathering actionable data from various sources to ensure consistent and continual optimisation of campaigns
  • Manage a close direct relationship with search engine providers to stay constantly up to date in upcoming changes and trends in order to lead the market

Requirements:

  • A good recognized University degree majoring in Marketing and has minimum 3-5 years of relevant working experience in an online media environment
  • Clear understanding and knowledge of Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Social Media Marketing
  • Hands on experience with Google AdWords, Yahoo Sponsored Search, Microsoft Bing and Facebook Ads.
  • Understand how websites are built (HTML, PHP, Flash etc) and their effects on search campaigns and analytics tracking.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, and other website analytics
  • An expert in testing and optimization. Ability to use test results to continuously improve digital marketing programs. Familiar with A/B and other testing techniques
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deliver on time and on budget
  • Strong analytical skills with experience analysing large datasets to gain insights and drive business decisions

inSing is looking for editorial interns for their News and Lifestyle departments. This is an ongoing programme and together with the content team you’ll work on a range of stories, pitch and research stories and photos, edit copy and source contacts.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a “can-do” attitude, strong writing skills, insatiable curiosity and the ability to think strategically and work well under pressure.

Editorial experience, HTML and Photoshop skills is preferred, but above all you need to have a passion for writing.
